Five people were hospitalised after a serious crash in Co Clare on Friday night.
The multi-vehicle collision happened on the N68 near Caherea at 7pm with major delays in the area in the aftermath.
Gardai confirmed five people were taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment but no injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a multi-vehicle collision in Caherea, Co.Clare on Friday, 3 rd June 2022.
"The collision occurred at approximately 7.25pm. A total of 5 persons were taken to University Hospital Limerick. None of these injures are believed to be life-threatening."
It came just hours after two motorcyclists were killed in a horror crash on the M50 that brought Dublin to a standstill.
The pair of British motorcyclists, aged in their 50s and 60s, are believed to have collided with one another before being hit by a truck.
Gardai shut part of the M50 for a number of hours as the incident was dealt with.
