Five places where you can watch the 2023 Super Bowl in Liverpool

The 2023 Super Bowl is happening this week, and there are several bars in Liverpool city centre showing it live.

The Super Bowl, the final playoff game of the NFL to decide the league champion, will feature the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona. Numerous Liverpool venues will be opening late specifically for the event.

It will kick off at 11.30pm GMT, with coverage available on ITV1 and ITVX starting at 10.45pm. It will also be shown on Sky Sports from 10pm.

Rihanna will be performing at the famous half-time show, which over the years has featured artists such as Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, Prince and The Rolling Stones. Rihanna's performance is highly anticipated as she has not toured or released an album in six years. Often, other musicians will also perform alongside the main act.

Here are five venues showing the Super Bowl and the deals they have on offer.

Scruffy Murphy's

An Irish-American bar, Scruffy Murphy's will be showing the Super Bowl. Based on Harrington Street. It is taking bookings by phone on 0151 317 5109 or via the website.

McCooley’s

McCooleys has a wide variety of offers related to the Super Bowl. A free shot is available for anyone wearing jerseys at half time. Four pint pitchers start from £16 and eight pint towers from £30.

For £23, you can receive 15 chicken tenders or 30 wings, with all food being served until half-time. Food and drink packages are also available. Booking can be made via their social media pages or their website.

Yankees

Yankees Sports Bar is fittingly showing the 2023 Super Bowl with a range of special offers to go with it. The Wood Street venue is promising a hot dog and a pint for £6. Two pint gulps, free snacks and their exclusive “4th of July” cocktail are available. A free shot will also be given when purchasing your free tickets. Tickets are available here.

Einstien Bier Haus

Based in Concert Square, Einstein has a numerous super bowl specials. These include one stein and six wings for £12 and a beer bucket for £20. The food menu features salt and pepper strips and dips and chicken wings priced at £6 each. Nachos are £7. Einstien has a walk-ins only policy.

Cheers Big Ears

Opened last year, Cheers is also promising a Super Bowl menu and drinks packages which as of yet have not been revealed. Cheers is also home to deep dish pizzas, cocktails and darts. Any queries should be directed to their website here.
