Two months after the tragic death of One Direction member Liam Payne, five people have been charged in relation to the infamous death. One of whom was a close friend of the late singer, Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores.
Liam Payne died at the age of 31 on October 16 at a hotel in Buenos Aires, when he fell from a third-floor balcony. Examinations conducted on his body revealed that Payne had alcohol and cocaine in his system at the time of his death.
On Sunday (local time), it was reported by Argentinian press that five individuals had been arrested and charged in connection to Payne’s death.
One of those charged is Roger Nores, a wealthy businessman and friend of Payne’s, who reportedly left the hotel an hour before the tragedy occurred. He has been charged with negligent homicide.
Notably, Nored denies the claims he was at all related to Payne’s death.
The rest of the men charged are all connected to the building Payne fell from the balcony from; the CasaSur Palermo hotel.
One of them is waiter Braian Paiz, who admitted to having cocaine with the One Direction member on the night of his death. Another was hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra who was also charged with supplying the illicit drugs.
Two managers of the establishment, Gilda Martín and Esteban Grassi, were also charged with manslaughter.
According to local papers, all five men have been ordered to appear in court.
