Victorian investigators have arrested five people and charged two of them with murder over a fatal stabbing in Docklands last weekend.
Emergency services were called to a brawl on Bourke Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
West Australian man Alier Riak, 23, died of his stab wounds in hospital.
His brother, 26-year-old Kuol Riak, was also seriously injured.
Police confirmed on Saturday morning that detectives from the Homicide Squad, Gang Crime Squad and Armed Crime Squad executed warrants at a Derrimut address and a Wollert address on Friday.
They arrested a 19-year-old man from Derrimut, in Melbourne's outer west, and a 21-year-old man from Wollert, in Melbourne's outer north.
A 21-year-old man from Tarneit was arrested in Docklands later in the day.
"The Tarneit and Derrimut men were charged with murder, while the Wollert man was charged with affray and violent disorder," a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
"All three faced Melbourne Magistrates' Court last night and were remanded in custody."
Another two warrants were executed in Taylors Hill, in Melbourne's outer west, and Epping, in the outer north, on Saturday morning.
A 22-year-old Taylors Hill man and a 20-year-old Epping man were arrested and were due to be interviewed by police.
"The investigation into the incident remains ongoing and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has other information and is yet to speak to police to come forward," the spokesperson said.
