Five people were arrested in connection with a stabbing.
Just after 2.20am on Saturday (February 25), Merseyside Police received a report a 20-year-old man had sustained a serious stab wound on Hawthorne Grove in Seacombe. The man was taken to hospital, initially described as being in a critical but stable condition.
The five people arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding were a 24-year-old man from Egremont, a 21-year-old woman from Seacombe, an 18-year-old woman from Seacombe, an 18-year-old from Poulton, and a 16-year-old male from Poulton.

They have all been released on bail pending further enquiries. Police's house-to-house and CCTV enquiries are ongoing in the local area.
The victim remains in hospital, in a stable condition.
