Five people have been arrested after a house fire which police believe was started deliberately. Officers said the residential property was 'targeted'. Emergency services were called to the property on Avallon Avenue, Llandudno Junction, just after 10pm on Friday April 29.
According to North Wales Live, police officers were responding to reports that a house had been deliberately set alight. All occupants of the property were evacuated without injury, said North Wales Police. Five people have now been arrested on suspicion of an arson offence as a result of the blaze.
The road was closed while concerned residents watched the incident unfold from their doorsteps. Photos and video showed police on the scene along with three fire crews tackling the blaze into the early hours of the following morning. Enquiries are ongoing after North Wales Fire and Rescue said the cause of the fire is unknown.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “Investigations are underway after what is being treated as a deliberate ignition of a residential premises in the Llandudno Junction area occurred on Friday evening (29th April). Five people have been arrested and our enquiries are ongoing, we believe this to have been a targeted incident with no on-going threat to the local community.
“All occupants were evacuated without injury. There will be emergency services present at scene as investigations continue and we thank local residents for their understanding and cooperation in this regard.”
A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue added: “We were called at 22:01pm to a house fire in Avallon Avenue, Llandudno Junction where we dispatched three units to the scene. Two crews attended from Llandudno and one crew from Conwy.
“There are no reports of any injuries at the incident and investigations will begin the following day to discover the main cause of the ignition, at present the cause is unknown. The fire was reported to be out at 00:39am.”
