Five men jailed over string of violent incidents in Scots town including crossbow attack

Five men have been given custodial sentences after a string of violent attacks in Stirling including one incident involving a crossbow.

Emergency services rushed to the Upper Craigs area of the city at around 9.30pm on Sunday, 5 July 2020, following reports that a man had been found with serious injuries.

He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with his condition described as “serious but not life threatening”. The attack is said to be connected to an earlier incident on Queens Road where a crossbow was discharged.

Ryan Craw, 27, Roddy Bain, 26, Jake Bain, 25, Dale Campbell 26, and Lee Quinn, 26 appeared at Stirling Sheriff Court on Tuesday 13 February, in connection with the incident. The five men were sentenced to between 33 and 46 months for their part in a disturbance.

Detective Sergeant Will Hogg, Forth Valley CID, said: “Thankfully this type of incident is rare in Stirling and we are pleased all five men have been convicted and have received custodial sentences.”
