Five takeaways and restaurants in Liverpool have made it to the finals of the British Kebab Awards 2023.
The awards celebrate local kebab takeaways and restaurants across the country, celebrating the industry and its contribution to the UK economy and British culture. Each finalist battles it out to win one of the 18 awards up for grabs, ranging from Best Newcomer to Best Kebab Van.
There are eight awards for the best kebab restaurants across the UK. The full list of Liverpool restaurants that have been named finalists are:
- Christakis Duke Street - Best Greek restaurant and/or takeaway
- Christakis Aigburth Road - Best Greek restaurant and/or takeaway
- Elif Childwall - Best Kebab Restaurant Regional
- Anar Turkish BBQ Restaurant, Prescot Road - Best Newcomer Restaurant In/Outside London
- Botan Kebab House, Berry Street - Best Takeaway Regional

Further afield, the Ellesmere Port Kebab and Pizza House, was also named a finalist in the Best Takeaway Regional category. The winners will be crowned during a ceremony at Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge Hotel, on February 28. You can view the full list of finalists here.
