A vet has shared the five dog breeds which will increase your visits to the vet and put insurance claims through the roof.
Adam Christman, chief veterinary officer for DVM360 has warned people looking into five dog breeds about the likely conditions they could get during their lives. The expert warned potential new owners, and those who already have the breeds on his TikTok page - which has 973k followers.
He first warned Dachshund and Great Dane owners, BirminghamLive reports.

He said: "These napoleon complex dogs suffer from Intervertebral Disc Disease. They eat a lot of food and are also prone to cardiac disease and cancers."
The vet also shared a warning for anybody with a Labrador Retriever, adding: "Like the Great Dane they can also have orthopaedic issues issues such as tearing their cruciate ligaments."
Referencing the Chihuahua, he said: "If this dog breed could speak it'd do this…'pick me up, pick me up, pick me up…actually I've changed my mind, I want to go in the stroller."
He also shared a warning over the French bulldog. and said: "They've got wrinkled and their noses can be stenotic, they can have neck problems, back problems heart problems, knee issues, skin…but we love them so much.
"Frenchies are so needy and crave attention all the time."
The TikTok clip has racked up 86,000 views at the time of writing - including scores of messages from dog owners and pet lovers keen to share their views.
One person said: "You forgot the DOBERMAN! Velcro dogs!!"
