POLICE Scotland has urged drivers to heed warnings about Storm Bert after a five-car crash near the Scottish and English border.
The road has been shut since it happened shortly before 9am on Saturday morning, with investigations continuing into the incident.
The incident happened on the A68 between St Boswells and Ancrum, and no updates have been given on any injuries at this stage.
The weather has been causing havoc throughout the country with rail services delayed and cancelled, while ferries have also been interrupted.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “The A68 is currently closed between St Boswells and Ancrum due to a crash involving five vehicles reported shortly after 8.55am.
“Weather conditions are challenging in the area as a result of Storm Bert and we would urge people to heed warnings about whether they need to travel.”
