Positive covid tests have risen in five areas of the Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the area of the city region which recorded the largest rise in Covid tests was in Halton in the week ending June 5.
Halton recorded 113 cases, which is 46 more cases than the previous week.

It meant that week-on-week percentage change figure was 69% in Halton.
The four other areas of the Liverpool City Region which recorded rises in positive covid tests in the week ending June 5 were: 22% in Knowsley; 4% in Liverpool; 54% in St Helens; 2% in Wirral.
The only part of the city region which recorded a fall in infections was in Sefton which logged a fall of 5%.
The week-on-week percentage change figure in the Liverpool City Region rose by 12%.
Warrington, West Lancs, and Cheshire West and Chester also recorded rises in covid infections.
The week-on-week percentage change figure in England increased by 20% in the week ending June 5.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 295 cases in the week ending June 5, which is 11 more cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure increased by 4%. The latest infection rate was 58.9 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 210 cases in the week ending June 5, which is four more cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure increased by 2%. The latest infection rate was 64.7 cases per 100,000 people
Halton
There were 113 positive tests over the last week - that's 46 more cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure increased by 69% in Halton in the week ending June 5. The latest infection rate is 87.1 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 115 cases in the week ending June 5, which is 40 more cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 63.5 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 53%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 95 cases in the week ending June 5, which is 17 more cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 62.3 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure rose by 22%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 171 cases in the week ending June 5, which is a nine fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 62.0 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases dropped by 5% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 999 positive tests over in the week ending June 5, which is 109 more cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change rose by 12%. The latest infection rate is 58.67 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 148 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 5, which is 26 more cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure increased by 21%. There was an infection rate of 70.68 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 286 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 5, which is 79 more cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate is 83.18 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage increased by 38% in cases.
West Lancs
There were 72 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending June 5, which is eight more cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 62.88 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage increased by 13% in cases.
England
In the week ending June 5, England recorded 42,070 coronavirus cases, which is 7,052 more cases than in the previous seven days. The week-on-week percentage increased by 20% in England. There was an infection rate of 74.39 per 100,000 people.
