A fishing boat has sunk near a Scots harbour sparking a dramatic rescue mission.
Coastguard crews raced to the scene after the Scottish trawler sank in the north sea near Aberdeen.
A search operation was launched after the vessel was reported to be in distress near the harbour in the south of the city, reports Aberdeen Live.
It's understood the two people on board have been rescued and brought back to shore.
They are now receiving health checks.
A spokesperson from Aberdeen Coastguard said: "We can confirm that a vessel sunk just off the coast of Aberdeen.
"The two persons on board have been rescued by the lifeboat and have been taken back to Aberdeen harbour.
"Everything is still ongoing at the moment."
It come after a man died when a Scottish vessel from Peterhead was confirmed to have sunk last night 100 nautical miles off the coast of Norway.
