A Belfast fish and chip restaurant has come away with the top award at the National Fish and Chip Awards 2023.
Running for over thirty years, the National Fish and Chip Awards is the largest UK-wide event that raises standards across the industry and supports the fish and chip related businesses.
For the first time this year, The National Federation of Fish Friers hosted the awards that saw Fish City Belfast come away with two big wins.

The only establishment across Northern Ireland nominated across all categories, Fish City took home the title of 'Restaurant of the Year' and 'Environment and Sustainability Champion'.
Announcing the win, the NFFF said: "The winner for the Fish & Chip Restaurant of the Year category is Fish City, they have been chosen for outstanding customer service, and commitment to environmental and sustainability."
Taking to social media, Fish City shared their delight at their wins and thanked their team for the success.
Fish City said: "Wow, what can we say! We took it home to Belfast!
"The UK's Environment & Sustainability Champion and Restaurant of the Year!
"What an honour to be recognised at the National Fish & Chip Awards by the National Federation of Fish Friers - NFFF for our commitment to sustainability and the daily running of our restaurant, centred on producing quality fish and chips and local and sustainable seafood.
