A young Scots man killed in a horror crash in the Highlands has been named by police.
Callum Ewen, from Fochabers in Moray, died in the three car smash, which took place on the B9101, near the junction of the A939, in Bognafuaran, Nairn, after 7.30am on Friday November 25.
Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the 23-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say his family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time.
A woman was also rushed to hospital by ambulance but her age, the extent of her injuries and her current condition is not known.
An investigation remains ongoing into the collision.
Road Policing Sergeant Chris Donaldson said: “Our thoughts remain with Callum’s family at a very difficult time.
“Enquiries are still ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I would again appeal to anyone who may have information about it to please get in touch with us, quoting incident number 0492 of 25 November, 2022.”
