Police have named the man who died in an East Kilbride flat after launching a murder investigation.
Alexander Allan, aged 43, was found seriously injured at the property on Ivanhoe after emergency services rushed to the scene at around 7.05pm on Tuesday night.
Paramedics treated him at the scene, however, the 43-year-old was shortly pronounced dead after they attempted to save his life.

A murder probe is now ongoing led by officers from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team.
Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and remain at an early stage.
“We would be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage or CCTV from the area which may assist.
“I would urge anyone with information which may assist our investigation to call police on 101, quoting reference 0460 of February 7, 2023.”
