The family of a "devoted" dad who died after being seriously injured in a crash have paid tribute to him.
Sean Coffey was involved in a crash on New Year's Eve on the A41, Chester Road in Little Sutton at around 6.20pm. When officers attended the scene they found Sean, a pedestrian, had been involved in the crash with two cars, a black BMW X5 and a grey Land Rover Discovery.
The incident occurred in the road near to the junction of Smithy Lane. Sean, 55, sustained serious injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the dad died as a result of the incident.

Today, Sean's family paid tribute to the 55-year-old and described him as a "kind and generous man".
They said: “In the most tragic way, we have lost our beautiful Sean. Everyone that knew him will know him as a funny, kind and generous man. He loved music, wildlife and was a devoted dad and family man."
Cheshire Police said all parties involved stopped at the scene and are assisting the police. Enquiries in relation to the crash are ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
