THE First Minister has been spotted getting on the Subway in Glasgow.
John Swinney was pictured catching public transport on his way to give a speech at Glasgow Botanic Gardens about the importance of climate action.
He was seen at the Buchanan Street stop last night before heading to the West End of the city.
The SNP leader praised the upgraded carriages and the Alasdair Gray artwork as he shared the experience on social media.
The First Minister posted on Instagram: “It’s always nice to hop on the Glasgow Subway, especially with their new modern trains and those lovely Alasdair Gray murals.
“I’m on my way to give a speech at Glasgow Botanics about the importance of climate action - keep an eye out for more later.”
One commenter said: “Scottish FM takes our subway, and not a fleet of cars. THAT is leadership!”
However another person hit out at the new car design, writing: “They are badly designed, everyone is shoogled.”
