First look inside transformed Edinburgh pub with stunning views of the Forth

An Edinburgh pub is set to reopen with a brand new owner and restaurant after the venue underwent a huge makeover this year.

The Thirty Knots pub will welcome in customers this weekend when it launches on Saturday, December 10, opening their bar and kitchen at 2pm.

Spending thousands renovating and upgrading the property, a first look inside the new venue has given a glimpse at its cosy and funky interior that boasts an incredible view over the Forth Bridges.

Also featuring a restaurant that will be serving up a modern take on traditional pub dishes, and an outdoor terrace that will have an incredible outlook for those brave enough to face the cold.

Taken over by Buzzworks Holding, the former Three Bridges will be serving up both lunch and dinner, with guests able to enjoy the more relaxed pub space, or tuck in at the restaurant.

Bringing over 30 years of culinary experience and a hands-on approach, renowned Chef Trevor Garden, 51, promises customers an exciting menu that’s destined to tantalise the tastebuds, focusing on fresh, seasonal produce.

He added: “Our Fish and Chips is set to be one of our best dishes on the menu. Not only is it a classic, but we’ve added our very own twist and I think it will fast become a real favourite with our customers.”

The company’s Managing Director Kenny Blair said: “We are very excited to welcome customers to the new Thirty Knots. The venue signifies our ongoing investment and commitment to South Queensferry, having launched our Scotts restaurant in the Port Edgar Marina back in 2018, and we hope this provides the local community with another fantastic venue that they can enjoy and be proud of for years to come."

Family-owned Buzzworks also continues to offer a number of exciting jobs opportunities across the business, both within the kitchen and front of house.
