Marks & Spencer has given shoppers a sneak peek of how its new Newark Foodhall will look when it opens later this month.
The new-look, marketplace-feel Foodhall is designed to deliver a bigger, better and fresher experience than ever before for M&S shoppers and marks a significant investment in the region.
Based at The Maltings Retail Park, it will be one of the first in the country to have the new design, with in-store features including new fresh product displays brimming with fruit and vegetables, and an in-store bakery serving fresh bread and pastries throughout the day.
Work is under way in the building to get everything ready for its planned opening towards the end of this month.
As well as new features like an expanded M&S frozen food section and dedicated M&S Wine Shop, the plans include vibrant neon lighting displays and high-spec flooring and decoration throughout the store.
Customers will also be able to make the most of convenient ways to pay, with plenty of checkouts for speedy service, and a mobile scan and shop option available via the M&S App which lets M&S Sparks shoppers skip the queues altogether.
Digital screens in store will also make it quicker and easier to click and collect online orders
Store manager Wes Kachela said: "We’re really excited to be sharing a sneak peek of our new Foodhall design. It’s been great to hear from local customers how excited they are about the development of the store and our team can’t wait until the end of the month when we can share everything the new Foodhall has to offer.
"Whether it’s our fresh produce displays, our in-store bakery, or dedicated M&S Wine Shop – we’ve got everything we need to deliver the very best of M&S Food for our customers in Newark, with a bigger range of M&S products than ever before.”
