First look inside Edinburgh's newest fast food joint Jollibee as fans queue for hours

One of the most popular fast food restaurants in the world has opened their first Edinburgh venue today, with queues gathering outside before 9am.

Jollibee, an Asian fast food chain, launched their first Edinburgh store on Princes Street this morning, much to the delight of locals who gathered in anticipation for the grand opening.

Fortunately for us, we were able to grab some images of the interior and surroundings inside Jollibee.

Specialising in chicken, burgers and spaghetti, the restaurant also attracts customers with its global band and quirky retro decor.

The chain currently operate 120 venues worldwide, opening its Princes Street store a month after they opened a venue in Glasgow.

The firm’s best-sellers include: the Chickenjoy – a crispy fried chicken made with a family-secret marinade, Jolly Spaghetti, made with a Filipino inspired sweet sauce and layers of cheese and hot dog slices, and the Jollibee Chicken Burger, priced at just £3.99.

As well as offering guests the option to sit-in and takeaway, Jollibee will also be operating on food delivery services, giving customers the chance to try their iconic selection from the comfort of their own home.

Although the menu is limited to just burgers, chicken and fries, each dish is bursting with flavour and is presented in an enticing manor.

Jollibee also offer customers mini ice cream sundaes, with the Mango Coconut and Chocolate Coconut flavoured pots consisting of soft serve vanilla ice cream and sauce with coconut shavings.

A selection of sauces are also available, that go beyond the usual tomato ketchup and BBQ sauce, including sriracha mayonnaise, sweet chilli sauce, Asian ginger chilli sauce and garlic mayonnaise.

Queues seen outside the restaurant before their morning opening time this morning were seen stretching far into the distance as dozens of hungry foodies gathered with excitement, braving the snowy weather.
