Trainspotting fans have been given their first look at the classic movie's upcoming sequel, T2 in a brand new trailer.
The film reunites the original cast, Ewan McGregor (Mark ''Rent Boy'' Renton), Ewen Bremner (Daniel ''Spud'' Murphy), Jonny Lee Miller (Simon ''Sick Boy'' Williamson) and Robert Carlyle (Francis ''Franco'' Begbie).
28 Days Later and Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle, who directed the original 1996 movie, has also returned for the project.
In a 2008 interview with AV Club Boyle said he was waiting for his cast to age sufficiently before bringing a sequel to the screen because they were "a little heavier, but they basically look the same."
"Actors stay suspended in that timeless moment where they're moisturising and looking after themselves and making sure they keep fit and healthy, because it's their work, it's their future employment," he added.
"But when time ravages them, we will be waiting for them."
The sequel will be based on the follow-up book to Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting, Porno.
T2 is set to be release early 2017.
