Gregg Wallace and his wife Anna, 33, have welcomed their first child - a baby boy named Sid.
After years of trying to conceive, the birth comes as a huge relief to the 54-year-old TV chef.
Speaking to OK Magazine, Gregg said: "I was far more scared this time than when I had Tom and Libby [Gregg’s children from his second marriage.
"I don’t know if it’s because it took us so long to conceive or perhaps it’s because I’m older, but I was scared for their health. I could have hugged the doctors.

"I went down the business end and watched the doctors pull Sid out. I saw him take his first breath, it was just beautiful. I looked at him and thought he was perfect."
Gregg celebrated the birth by hiring a private dining room and inviting his close friends.
Gregg said: "Ten close friends came, including John Torode [his MasterChef co-host]. We started at midday and finished at 10 pm! The bill was well over £2k!
Anna said: "I was fine. I was tired in hospital and I had my mum and dad with me.
Gregg added: "If she hadn’t been happy about it, I wouldn’t have gone."
Speaking about what it's like to be a father, Gregg said: "I couldn’t physically do it and work at my age. I would but being in my mid-fifties and doing the job I do, I couldn’t do it...I work away half the week, so when I’m home Sid goes in Anna’s mum’s room so we get some rest.
"When I’m away the baby goes back in with Anna."
Anna said: "It’s a good system. I miss Sid a little when he’s in with Mum, but I don’t ever worry. I can always go and look at him."
On the pair falling in love through Twitter after Anna, 33, asked 54-year-old Gregg’s advice on a rhubarb recipe, Gregg said: "What were the chances of meeting someone, who not only had what I had to offer but had, in abundance, what I was looking for. Love is a complete game of chance.
Anna said: "I was quite honest and told him I wanted a baby."
