A popular Northern Irish street food chain is set to open its first table service restaurant this week in East Belfast.

Selling Independent Taiwanese street food, it also now has locations south of the border - with three locations in Belfast on Botanic Avenue, the Lisburn Road and Ballyhackamore.

In November, Bao Bun announced their plans to open a sit-in experience in their licenced Ballyhackamore branch with the expansion offering all their classic street food menu items with a twist.

Bao Bun Deluxe is set to open on January 26 for all of its loyal customers.

Sharing details of the expansion on social media, they have described it as the "same food only served differently".

"You can now even mix and share your food," they added.
