First lady Melania Trump is set to make a rare public appearance at the governors ball at the White House on Saturday evening, as confirmed by a White House official. This event will mark one of the few times the notoriously private first lady has been seen in public recently.
Her last public appearance was on January 24 when she accompanied President Donald Trump on a trip to the disaster-stricken areas of Asheville, North Carolina, and Pacific Palisades, California. During this trip, President Trump mentioned that Melania has always been actively involved, albeit more behind the scenes, and described her as a 'front-of-the-scenes person.'

President Trump also shared that the first lady expressed deep concern for the individuals affected by the recent hurricanes and wildfires, which motivated her to join him on the trip to offer support to the communities in need.
While Melania Trump engaged with victims of the natural disasters during the visit and participated in inaugural events earlier in the week, she has not made any formal public statements since her husband's return to office.
