During a recent campaign press call, First Lady Jill Biden took aim at former President Donald Trump for his position on abortion and reproductive care. Biden's remarks were made ahead of Trump's rally in Florida and focused on the impact of Trump's appointment of three conservative Supreme Court justices who played a role in overturning Roe v. Wade.

Biden highlighted the challenges faced by women in accessing reproductive health care following the court's decision and criticized Trump for his attempts to portray himself as moderate on reproductive rights. She pointed out that Trump's Supreme Court justices were instrumental in the Roe v. Wade ruling and questioned his sincerity in claiming to support women's reproductive rights.

She stated, 'Donald Trump is trying to tell women he’s a moderate on reproductive rights. Does he think we forgot that his Supreme Court justices killed Roe v. Wade and that he brags about it? Does he think we don’t know that he wants to roll back access to contraception and he could jeopardize IVF treatments? Does he think he can pivot away from a career of diminishing and denigrating women?'

Biden emphasized that women have not forgotten Trump's track record and cannot be misled by his attempts to soften his stance on reproductive rights. She asserted, 'Women haven’t forgotten and we can’t be fooled. Donald Trump has spent years telling us exactly who he is and we believe him.'

Joining Biden in her criticism of Trump was Florida Rep. Veronica Escobar, a co-chair of the Biden campaign. The call with reporters served as a platform for Biden and Escobar to express their concerns about Trump's policies and positions on reproductive rights.
