There was also a bug that caused disappearing or flickering shadows in Meridian when you play on ultrawide resolutions that have been fixed. Other issues that were corrected include HUD markers for objectives not rendering properly with a custom FOV and many others.

The update's official patch notes also included mention of various improvements to the user interface, performance, and overall stability. However, these changes have not been detailed in full by the developer.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered has been a controversial remake of the original game with many players arguing that it was not really needed. This is primarily because Horizon Zero Dawn is not necessarily an old game, according to WCCFTech.

Despite this, the latest release is still a worthwhile upgrade for many players who want to experience the original game with enhanced graphics. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered also features better performance on the PlayStation 5 and high-end PCs.

Another thing that the first PC patch for the remaster fixes is a crash that some players were experiencing when adjusting their mouse and keyboard controls. There was also a bug that could result in a bow suddenly appearing floating while watching a cinematic.

Fixing Various Bugs and Issues

The 1.1 update comes as the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered seems to be in a very good state that players are enjoying. But one thing that has restricted access to the game is that it requires a PSN account, DSO Gaming said.

The variety of bugs and issues that players experienced in the game prior to the latest patch led to Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered getting generally mixed reviews. This is despite the remaster itself being a beautiful upgrade to the original title.

One Reddit user wrote in comments that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered was a very enjoyable experience but noted that it definitely needs to get patched. They added that they noticed small stutters or hitching during cutscenes.

The user, Travbedaman, said that the audio mix in the first area had some "weird reverb with NPC chatter and sound effects," according to PCGamer.
