The wait is almost over for shoppers in Cardiff, as the huge new Zara store is finally opening its doors.
The 36,500 square feet store is opening in St David's shopping centre on Thursday June 3 .
The shopping centre revealed the opening date on its Instagram account on Tuesday, more than 18 months since Zara announced it would be opening a flagship store in the city.
The store is located on the second floor of the shopping centre, near the food court, in multiple units which have been covered up by a giant white facade and black bow for the last few months.

Ahead of the opening, the facade has now been removed, giving shoppers the opportunity to have a sneak peek at the new store, albeit through shutters.
The new store will offer a wide variety of womenswear, menswear, kids' clothes and accessories, with womenswear occupying the ground floor and the men and kids' sections upstairs on the first floor.

There is no word yet on whether it will also stock Zara Baby and Zara Home, but with its incredible upsize from its previous location on Queen Street, fans are excited that these could also make up part of the store.
The much-anticipated store - which was announced in November 2019 - will be the European brand's flagship store, which means it is the lead store in the retail chain.
In 2018, Zara launched a high-tech "flagship" store in Stratford, London, featuring interactive mirrors that can make outfit suggestions based on clothing you are holding and radio frequency identification.
The 50,000 square ft, two-storey shop also has an area dedicated to online shopping which can handle 2,400 orders at once with two automated online order collection points.
Customers are also able to collect online orders on the same day if ordered before 2pm.
