Food lovers can enjoy a totally new dining experience at the UK's first ever unstaffed restaurant.
The EZ 24 RAMEN offers an experience like no other, free from tiresome booking system and food waits with not a single staff member in sight.
Customers pay to enter the building where they can feast on ramen 24 hours a day, with dishes cooked by machines in just three minutes.
Once inside, diners can grab whatever noodles they like on display and then customise it with a range of toppings including pickles, kimchi, enoki mushrooms, bean sprouts and fish cakes.
Daily, weekly or monthly subscriptions will be offered by the venue which is due to open in Oxford later this year.
Those looking for a one-off experience can buy a day pass for just £1.70 while monthly access will get customers up to 40 visits, using a code to enter the building.
Customers can also buy drinks, ice-cream and meal kits from vending machines inside the staffless restaurant.
As well as this, there will be a pinball, arcade machines and plenty of plug sockets so people can set up their phones, laptops or handheld consoles.
The concept grew from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic which saw more people working remotely and looking for a contactless experience.
Co-founder Indra Tor said: "I wanted to create a forward-thinking place that looks at how people live their lives today.
"The world has changed, and people's habits are different.
"EZ Ramen is about being forward-thinking about technology and how we can create a restaurant that is different and embraces new things but also allow people to learn.
"There's a lot of negatively sometimes around new tech, and we want to show people in an organic setting that if done right, the tech can be used to great effect and of course serve them some good ramen."
Restaurants have seen a shift in the way consumers engage in recent years, with more services being carried out by technology alone.
The industry appears to be heading towards a more robotic future, with the rollout of services such as virtual cashiers and robo-voice assistants.
EZ Ramen is also planning to bring digital art to the table in the form of NFTs – digital assets considered modern-day collectibles.
The eatery will have an art gallery with 44 global artists, allowing people to see unique art and learn about NFTs while tucking into their noodles.
It will also drop its very own NFT at the end of October which comes with free access to ramen at the restaurant.
