First Dates star Merlin Griffiths has given a update on his recovery following his bowel cancer diagnoses.
He was diagnosed back in summer 2021 when his doctors found a 4.5cm Stage 3 tumour.
In April of this year, the star went through an operation to get his tumour removed.
He spoke about his experience and how his recovery had been going on BBC Breakfast.
Presenter Jon Kay asked: "Merlin, shall we start with you? How are you doing my friend?"
He replied: "Very well, thank you very much. All things considered. On the road to recovery, it's long and slow but we'll get there."

Sally Nugent then asked him to remind viewers of what he had gone though so far, and Merlin said: "I should have got there earlier but I did get there. I think it's very important that people follow up these symptoms. The sooner you catch it better it is for you."
After being asked about how his family had been doing since the diagnoses, Merlin said: "They're doing very well thank you.
"They have been a rock throughout this. Without the support of my family, what could I have done?"
When talking about how he told his daughter about the news, he said he was honest with her.
He said: "I did it very frankly and very honestly. I think much like doctors will speak to patients. You literally have to say the truth as it is.
"I tried to sweep it under the carpet but I should have taken it more seriously. The initial checks aren't very invasive and are very easy and quick to do."
Merlin appeared on BBC Breakfast alongside Matt Dawson who is a patron for Bowel Cancer UK.
Merlin has always been open about his diagnoses, often giving his followers updates.
However, he has recently talked about some setbacks he had.
He said he was told by doctors to "not to overdo it so active recovery takes a backseat".
Merlin told Metro : "So now I’m under strict surgeon’s orders not to overdo it so active recovery takes a backseat. So the last six to eight weeks have been quite frustrating, largely having to cool my heels and not being able to do what I’d like to do.
"But otherwise, we are getting better. It’s a long, slow road, as anyone who’s going through cancer treatment knows."
Merlin revealed that he has been getting a lot of support from his fellow First Dates colleagues including Fred Sirieix and Cici Coleman.
He said that 'it's nice to know they care' which makes him feel better.
Merlin appears on the latest series of Channel 4's First Dates: Hotel.
