Well known TV personality Fred, who recently celebrated his daughter's diving success at the Commonwealth Games, is back on TV screens on Tuesday night, with the return of popular First Dates spin-off show, First Dates Hotel. The new series will see maître d' once again play Cupid as singles head to sunnier climes in a bid to find romance.

Fred appeared as a guest on Lorraine on the eve of he show's return, with romance in the air in the ITV studio as host Lorraine Kelly celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary. After Fred offered Lorraine his congratulations, she replied: "Thank you so much; the poor man's putting up with a heck of a lot!"

She then sought some advice on how they should mark the occasion, asking: "What do you think we should do for a good sort of celebration? 'Cos we're probably not doing that much, because tomorrow I've got to be up early. We'll probably just end up watching the telly."

With a cheeky glint in his eye, Fred responded: "Well, it's a morning show Lorraine, I'm not quite sure if I can talk about what you should be doing," as she joked: "Later, you can talk to me later and give me lots of lots of tips."

On the subject of lasting romance, Lorraine asked Fred if he could tell straight away if couples were going to click, with him telling her: "Some of them you can tell straight away as they look at each other and they're like 'oh my god, this is my dessert.' Other people keep their cards close to their chest and other people just change their mind at the last minute."
