One of Swansea's most-used transport providers, First Cymru, has cancelled multiple routes on Tuesday. The bus company said it's been experiencing "operational difficulties" and had been affected by a shortage in drivers.
Among the cancelled services, First Cymru service 9 is no longer running between Swansea University/Campus and the Student Village at 1.15pm, 1.42pm, 2.30pm, 3.12pm, 4pm, 4.42pm. Plus, the number 16 service between Swansea and Gorseinon and the number 110 and 111 services between Swansea and Llanelli have had multiple routes cancelled, as has the X13 Swansea to Ammanford and Ammanford to Swansea. First Cymru took to social media to confirm many of its services have had to be cancelled. In a series of service updates on Twitter, the bus firm said: "Due to operational difficulty the following services have been cancelled today... We are sorry for any inconvenience caused" and lists the 80+ services that have been cancelled today. It comes after the firm cancelled multiple routes on Monday.

A spokesperson for First Cymru told WalesOnline: "The problems being caused this morning are due to a combination of driver shortage, an issue which is being encountered across the whole of the bus industry, as well as a number of drivers who have tested positive for covid and who are now self-isolating.
"We will be working hard throughout the day to cover later journeys. Our advice to customers is to keep up to date with our social media channels where we will publish regular updates throughout the day. We can only apologise for the poor service but we are doing everything we can to put things right."
