The firm in which Rishi Sunak’s wife has a £400million stake has yet to pull out of Russia weeks after pledging to do so.
Indian tech giant Infosys is still operating in Moscow despite vowing it would “urgently” shut its office there after the invasion of Ukraine.
It comes weeks after the Chancellor urged UK firms to stop investing in Russia.
Wife Akshata Murty, who gave up her non-dom status after a row that threatened to derail his career, has a 0.93% share in the firm her dad founded.
Her spokesman said she is “one of many minority shareholders and has no involvement in the operational decisions of the company”.
But Shadow Justice Secretary Steve Reed said Mr Sunak had some “serious questions to answer”.
Infosys has a presence in some 50 countries and set up an engineering hub in Moscow in 2016.
On April 10, it advertised on LinkedIn for a senior consultant there.
On April 13, chief Salil Parekh said Infosys had begun the process of leaving Russia, and the Mirror understands no other Moscow jobs were advertised after that.
But dozens of staff remain while other global firms shut their doors overnight. LinkedIn still lists engineering analysts working there. The firm hopes to leave within a few months.
Infosys said: “While the company doesn’t have any active relationships with local Russian enterprises, we have a small team in Russia, which services some of our global clients.
"We are working closely with those clients to enable a smooth transition.”
