Firefighters were alerted after a car went on fire in south Dublin.
The vehicle blaze happened on Stocking Lane on Tuesday night. Dublin Fire Brigade crew from Rathfarnham managed to extinguish the fire before it could spread.
A spokesperson for the fire brigade said new technologies can bring unique challenges to emergency services. They said: "Rathfarnham firefighters dealing with a vehicle fire on Stocking Lane overnight. New car technologies can bring new challenges for crews dealing with car fires or if extrication is required."

It's been a busy week for Dublin Fire Brigade as fire broke out at a high rise in Dublin city centre on Monday night. Two people were rescued from the blaze after six units attended the scene.
Additionally, three fire engines rushed to the scene after batteries and electrical equipment went up in flames next to an industrial unit in Newcastle on Monday. The crew used breathing apparatus while stopping the fire from spreading.
