Firefighters have been scrambled to Bury following a house fire.
Crews from Bury Central, Whitefield, Broughton, and Manchester Central were all called to Randale Drive, in Unsworth, shortly after 4pm today (Friday February 10). Photographs from the scene show extensive damage to the roof of a house and firefighters using an aerial appliance to get closer to the affected area.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 4pm this afternoon (Friday 10th February), three fire engines from Bury Central, Whitefield and Broughton fire station along with an Aerial Appliance from Manchester Central were called to reports of a building fire involving a property on Randale Drive, Bury.”
“Crews arrived quickly at scene. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatuses are using two hose reels to extinguish the fire .”
