Three taken to hospital after partial building collapse on Chelsea Embankment

Three people have been taken to hospital after a building partially collapsed in Chelsea.

Emergency services were called after part of an external wall and some scaffolding collapsed on Chelsea Embankment on Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters rescued a man trapped underneath the rubble and a further two were treated at the scene. All three were then taken to hospital.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "A further six people were evacuated from the inside of the building as precaution whilst firefighters worked to make the building safe.

"The Brigade was first called about the incident at 1526, with crews from Lambeth, Paddington, Fulham and surrounding fire stations attending the scene."
