A Glasgow couple were left horrified after their garage was burnt to the ground in what they believe was a deliberate attack just metres from their home.
Courtney McCracken and Scott Matheson had been inside their Springboig flat watching TV when they smelt smoke around 8.15pm on Monday, May 29.
The pair, both aged 24, rushed outside to find the garage, which they had bought with their property last year, well alight, writes the Record.

Courtney said: "We couldn't believe it, it went up within minutes. There was nothing inside the garage that was flammable and there's no direct sunlight in our back garden, so we are confident this was deliberate.
"It has left us shaken because it could have been our home. If we had left it any longer I dread to think how close it could have been.
"We only moved in last year after buying the property, so it hasn't been the easiest thing to go through."
Shocking images from the height of the blaze show the building being engulfed in flames. . Fire crews confirmed that two engines were called to the incident, which took almost an hour to contain.
Courtney continued: "It's upsetting because the garage was a big appeal for us buying the property. To get a new one will cost us anything between £2,500 and £3,000.
"I don't know if we will be able to replace it as they're really expensive. It was a senseless attack and could have been a lot worse had we not found the fire as fast as we did.
"I am confident the fire was started someone that just walked by and didn't realise how severe it could end up."
The smouldering remains were pictured by Courtney this morning and show the couple's garden completely destroyed in the process.
She said: "As well as this, the guttering around the house has been left melted so there was a high chance it could have caught fire. If we could speak to the person that done it then we would like to warn them of how much damage fires can cause and we'd want them to understand how quickly they ignite.
"It could have been so much worse and I hope this story makes these people think twice."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 8.22pm on Monday, May 29 to reports of a domestic garage on fire at Hollowglen Road, Glasgow. Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a garage.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of this fire, which is being dealt with by SFRS."
An online fundraiser has been made by the couple to pay for any repairs.
