Firefighters called out to A Place In The Sun's Laura Hamilton's home

Firefighters were called out to Laura Hamilton's new home after a 'mishap'.

The Place In The Sun star contacted the fire brigade on Tuesday night to deal with the blaze. Laura said she had been working on the rebuild when the fire happened.

Sharing a video of the fire, Laura said: "Errr… Just a little mishap with the rebuild this morning."

The TV star had only moved into the sprawling new property earlier this month, reports the Mirror. Laura had been hard at work rebuilding and restoring the exterior of the property in recent weeks, but the fire has now put on a halt to refurbishments.

After making the move into her new home this month following her split from husband Alex Goward, Laura revealed that her new pad was already 'feeling like home' She recently told OK! Magazine: "When I walked through the door, it felt like coming home.

"I knew from the moment I first saw it. It has such a lovely feeling about it. I do feel like this is my little place in the country."

Laura moved out of her home in Purley, which she shared with her children Rocco, eight, and Talia, six, and she is now happily settled in her new Surrey mansion.
