SCOTS singer Lewis Capaldi has joked that Netflix should fire its advertising team after an apparent mix-up saw a young Liz Truss appear on a billboard for his upcoming documentary.
It comes after the Glasgow-native announced he would feature in a “raw and honest” Netflix documentary about his life.
Due to be released on April 5, the feature length music documentary ‘Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now’ will see him struggling to balance the familiarity of home and becoming a major celebrity.
A billboard advert for the film was shared by Capaldi on his Twitter, but the UK’s short-serving former prime minister appeared in his place.

Capaldi quipped: “ffs whoever is in charge of the billboards at netflix needs firing.”
The shot of Truss was from a speech she gave while a teenager in the LibDems. In September 2022, Capaldi had responded to a viral trend comparing his looks to the young Truss.
“Why do I look like so many female politicians,” he wrote then.

It seems likely that the Truss billboard “mix-up” is an advertising stunt for his new documentary.
