A woman was trapped in a car after a crash on a busy road. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue service has issued a statement following the incident which caused disruption to traffic.
A crash has partially closed the A6005 Abbey Street, in Lenton, in both directions. The incident was first reported shortly before 9.30am on Monday, February 27.
Crews from Highfields and West Bridgford stations attended the scene shortly after 10am. The firefighters rescued a woman who was trapped in a car.

In a statement, the fire service said: "10:09hrs #HighfieldsStn29 & #WestbridgfordStn19 attended an RTC on Abbey Street, Lenton. The crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release one female who was trapped in her car."
In a traffic update, site Inrix added: "A6005 Abbey Street in both directions closed, heavy traffic due to recovery work and accident, three vehicles involved from Warwick Street to A52 Clifton Boulevard."
