A fire caused by a "large quantity" of rubbish at the back entry of a house temporarily closed a residential street.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to Rosalind Way in Kirkdale at 5.45pm today, Sunday June 26 after reports of a fire at the back entry of a house. Fire crews from two engines arrived at the scene at around 5.49pm and found a large quantity of rubbish on fire at the back entry.
The fire crews gained access via ladders and tackled the fire with two high pressure hoses. The fire was out by around 6.20pm.

Minor damage to the walls of property on Olivia Street was reported. Images taken by the ECHO showed two fire engines in attendance.
The fire engines temporarily blocked Rosalind Way while crews worked at the affected property. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service left the scene just before 7pm.
