Fire crews rushed to an industrial estate to tackle a large warehouse fire.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to a warehouse fire on Manor Street in St Helens earlier this evening. Crews were alerted at 8.15pm and arrived on scene at around 8.19pm.
Four fire engines and an aerial appliance have attended the scene. Fire crews arrived to find a large single storey warehouse ablaze and began to fight the fire with a main branch hose.

The incident has been sectorised and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are fighting the fire externally with main branch hoses. The fire service has reported a large amount of smoke from the fire and advised people to avoid the area.
Local residents have been told to keep doors and windows shut while fire crews tackle the blaze. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the incident is ongoing.
