Fire crews have rushed to the scene of a dramatic blaze in central Glasgow this evening.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were alerted to the incident outside the voco Grand Central Hotel at around 8pm.
The blaze was initially believed to be within the building but crews soon realised that it was external only, Glasgow Live reports.
Five appliances were initially dispatched to the location and one still remains in attendance.
Two horse reel jets were also used and one pump is still in the area. There were no reports of any injuries following the fire.
An SFRS spokesperson said: "We did attend a fire at Glasgow Central Station. The call was received at 8:02pm this evening.
"We mobilised five pumps to the address. It initially came in as a report of a building fire. When crews arrived they established it was an external fire.
"They used two hose-reel jets. There is one pump still in attendance at the moment. There are no reports of any injuries."
