Dramatic pictures show fire crews in Dublin tackling a vehicle fire in Ballyfermot.
Dublin Fire Brigade took to Twitter to share the pictures, which show the car engulfed in flames on a residential street.
Garda were in attendance, both on the ground and in the air – with the force's helicopter visible in the images.
Dublin Fire Brigade said in a tweet accompanying the pictures on Wednesday night: “Firefighters extinguishing a vehicle fire in Ballyfermot with @gardainfo air and ground units in attendance.
“We work closely with our partner emergency services at all types of incidents.”
According to statistics on gov.ie, there were 9,728 fires attended in Dublin in 2020, with 758 of those involving motor vehicles.
