Glasgow fire crews rushed to a block of flats this morning after an alarm was raised in the early hours of the morning.
The automatic alarm at block 50, Kingsway Court, was raised just after 6am. Fire crews sent five appliances to the scene, where they quickly established the cause.
A small fire was found on one of the floors of the flat block, with crews extinguishing the fire within the hour. The area was considered safe by 7.30am.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.16am on Thursday December 8, to an automatic fire alarm at Kingsway Court, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised five fire appliances to the scene. Firefighters checked the building and established a small fire on one of the floors of the flat block.
“Crews extinguished the fire and left the scene at 7.30am after ensuring the area was safe.”
