A road was closed after tyres and rubbish went up in flames outside an abandoned warehouse.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service responded to an incident on Dunnett Street, off Regent Road, in Vauxhall this evening (Sunday). Crews were alerted to the blaze at 4.49pm this afternoon and two fire engines arrived on scene three minutes later.
The fire service said crews used one hose reel jet to tackle the blaze, which involved a "quantity of tyres and rubbish" in the courtyard of a disused industrial warehouse. Photos and video footage taken at the scene this evening showed fire engines lining the street on Brunswick Place.

A fire service spokesperson said: "Firefighters found approximately 15 oxygen cylinders that showed signs of rupture in a brick building on the premises following the rubbish fire. Crews began diligently cooling off the cylinders with a hose reel jet and monitoring temperatures periodically.
"The security company that manages the building has been requested to resecure the premises.
"Crews remain at scene to monitor temperatures and make the scene safe."
