FIREFIGHTERS have worked through the night to tackle a blaze near a Scottish reservoir.
Crews responded to the scene near the Carman Reservoir, south of Loch Lomond, after the alarm was raised at around 5pm on April 28.
Four fire engines rushed to the hill to tackle the blaze and worked throughout the night.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) has confirmed that it is a grass fire and there have not been any casualties.
A member of the public confirmed that roads surrounding the area are currently closed off.
A spokesperson from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 5.17pm on Thursday, April 28 to reports of a large fire in the open in Renton.
"Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene at Carman Road, where firefighters were met by a fire which had taken hold of a large area of grass.
"Firefighters worked through the night to extinguish the fire and to make the area safe.
"There were no casualties."
Earlier this month the SFRS warned of an "extreme risk" of wildfires in many parts of Scotland following a long spell of warm, dry spring weather.
Fire crews spent four hours tackling a blaze in the Kilpatrick Hills last month.
