Emergency services have raced to the scene of a bus fire on the M74 in Glasgow.
The incident has sparked the closure of the motorway northbound between Junction 3 (Carmyle Avenue Interchange) and 3a (Daldowie Interchange) this morning.
Drivers are being advised to find an alternative route in the meantime, with congestion reported back to Junction 4 (Maryville).

Camera images show the bus is on the hard shoulder.
Traffic Scotland confirmed news of the closure via Twitter, tweeting: "Junction 3A -Junction 3 The Northbound carriageway is now CLOSED due to a vehicle fire. Use alt route if possible an do take care on approach. Fire service and police are en-route."
The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) said there are no reported casualties.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.33am on Monday, 22 August to reports of a bus on fire on the M74 Northbound. Operations Control mobilised three appliances and firefighters are working to extinguish the fire affecting one private coach. There are no reported casualties.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 10.35am on Monday, 22 August, 2022, officers were called to a report of a bus on fire on the M74, near to junction 3. Emergency services are in attendance."
