Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Monday, January 24.
No Vlahovic bid made
Fiorentina director Joe Barone has admitted that the club are open to selling Dusan Vlahovic this January.
As cited by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Barone told Dazn: “We’ve not received any official bid for Vlahović as things stand.
“We’re open to discuss and negotiate - but we want Vlahović and his agent to be clear on the future, as they’re not answering. We need to talk about it."
Tierney's Champions League claim
Kieran Tierney is determined to get Arsenal back into the Champions League by securing a top four finish this season.
The Gunners haven't been in the competition since 2017, but Tierney has insisted that Arsenal are too big a club to not be playing amongst Europe's elite.
He said, via the Mirror: “As an Arsenal player, you know the standards of the club and you know what the expectations are.
“But you also know where we’ve been in the last years as well.
“Fourth place is a good position — it is good progress and it’s something we can build on.
“But it’s something you take game by game. If you go on runs, you don’t know what can happen, good or bad.
“Of course, Arsenal belong in the Champions League and, obviously, in the last few years we haven’t done that, so to do that would great progress for the club.”
Arteta sends transfer message
Mikel Arteta has conceded that Arsenal need "a different level of quality" after the Gunners were held to a goalless draw at home to Burnley.
The north Londoners were unable to break down a stubborn Clarets side, in what was a fairly toothless performance in an attacking sense, emphasising the need for a new centre-forward.
After the game, Arteta addressed the media and made his desire clear, saying Arsenal need more quality in order to progress.
He said: "The way we started the game was slow probably because of Thursday. The second half was completely different.
"To win this match you need to have a different level of quality. Someone has to win you the game if you want to be on the top."
