Fiorentina call on Dusan Vlahovic to break silence and make transfer decision amid Juventus and Arsenal bids

Fiorentina have pleaded with Dusan Vlahovic’s agents to lay out their plans for the striker’s future amid rival interest from Juventus and Arsenal for the striker’s signature.

Serie A giants Juve are reportedly the strong favourites to sign the Serbian, who is said to only want to move to Turin despite an offer from the Gunners.

For Fiorentina, a decision is sought soon so that they do not lose Vlahovic on a free transfer in 18 months’ time, when his contract expires.

“We have received some important offers for him,” sporting director Daniele Prade confirmed to SportItalia. “Offers that were very substantial but never got a response from their agents.

“For our part, there has always been great transparency. I refer to [director Joe] Barone's statements yesterday: our door is open.

“I say this because we want to understand what he wants and what his agents want. We are also open to sitting down and discussing a contract renewal.

“We have had big offers to sell him. I say this because we are a club that has a turnover of €75 million-a-year and that has an asset that is worthwhile - we cannot afford to lose him on a free transfer.

“We need to understand what he wants. Our door is open to anything. I leave no room for misinterpretations. We are open to anything. But his agents have to tell us their intentions.”

Arsenal are considering turning to Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak as an alternative to Vlahovic, with the Swede’s release clause set at £75million.
