BBC Question Time host Fiona Bruce threatened to “gag” Reform UK’s Richard Tice during a heated debate over climate change as he kept interrupting Green Party MP Adrian Ramsay.
During Thursday night's debate, held in Skipton, the Greens's co-leader was interrupted several times by Reform UK's MP Tice when he was trying to answer a question about climate change.
The panel's question was whether the UK is doing enough to combat climate change, which Ramsey said was “a very stark situation” as the world is already feeling the effects of rising temperatures.
However, as Ramsay was discussing the impact of the climate emergency on food security and outlining the need for more investment in renewables to help combat the issue, Tice cut him off.
Ramsey said investing in more renewable energy projects would “lower bills and warm our homes” to which the Reform UK MP said, “and how’s that going”.
After Tice (below) shouted over Ramsey several times, presenter Bruce had to intervene as she told him that she would come to him in a bit and to let the other panellists finish their answer.

However, Tice did not relent with his outburst as he claimed, “we will have higher bills”.
Ramsay and Tice ended up in a heated exchange as the Green member claimed Reform UK has no policies around climate action and Net Zero, to which Tice replied, “yeah, because it is stupid”.
The debate descended into further chaos after Ramsay said the green economy had grown three times faster than the economy as a whole, as Tice began to shout over him again, claiming that it hadn’t.
The Reform MP continued to interrupt the other panelists, despite being told he would get his turn to speak by Bruce.
The final straw for the BBC presenter was when Tice interrupted Ramsay for the fourth time in less than two minutes as she warned: “Richard, if you keep on interrupting, I will have to put a gag on you or something.
“Just, I will come to you, I promise.”
The BBC audience applauded Bruce following her threat to gag Tice as she moved on to the next panellist.
